Awakening Seed teachers follow the Arizona educational standards, Arizona early learning standards, and NAEYC guidelines for curriculum development. An emergent curriculum model is used. This model gives students and teachers a voice in shaping the direction of the curriculum, based on interests, strengths or needs of a class, current events, and available resources.
